Adrien Abuyen is a first-generation college graduate of UC Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies. While at UC Berkeley, Adrien was selected as a University of California, RepresentEd Leadership Fellow, receiving premier training in human-centered design and social entrepreneurship. As a former Student Trustee of the Peralta Community College District, Adrien advocated for equity, access, and inclusion by organizing and cultivating collaboration amongst student leaders and top-level administrators. In 2018, Adrien served as a Legislative Intern in Washington, D.C. for Senator Dianne Feinstein with a legislative portfolio focused on matters of education and healthcare. He then served as the Director of Operations for SOS Meals on Wheels, a non-profit with the mission of ensuring that homebound seniors in our community receive the sustenance and social support they need to live with dignified independence for as long as safely possible. To his core, he believes in bringing about positive and healing change in every role that he occupies with values of integrity, dignity, innovation, and a resolute “si se puede” attitude.
